The Minister of trasport of the Slovak Repubblic Ján Počiatek could sign a contract for the construction of Bratislava bypass, through the public-private partnership (PPP project). The mantioned project will make the part of the D4 motorway and R7 expressway. Final approval was given to the minister at the Government session on 02.18.2016.
According to the Government Resolution, the minister should sign a contract with the Spanish company Cintra by the end of February this year. The company promises to build a bypass within 4 years and 4 months in annual payments of € 56.72 million for 30-year operation. After 30 years and after taking account of inflation the bypass should cost about 1.9 billion euros. According to the initial estimate of the monthly payment should be in the range from 135 million euros to 151 million euros. After 30 years of operation it would cost € 4.53 billion.
